DeSoto (Texas) all-purpose running back Dontre Wilson seemed destined to stay in-state to play for the University of Texas before a March visit to the University of Oregon.

During his spring game on Friday evening, the Rivals250 prospect made his commitment announcement at his spring game and the impression the Ducks made was strong enough for him to choose Oregon over both Texas and Ohio State.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound speedster sees himself following in a recent line of Texas backs such as LaMichael James headed to Eugene.
