Campbell happy with his performance
Junior prospect Devonte Campbell (6-2, 216) is being recruited by most schools as either a tight end or linebacker, but on Saturday Campbell gave college coaches a glimpse of what he can do on offense.
The Forestville, Md. native only participated in offensive drills at the State College Nike Camp, and he was one of the top performers at tight end.
Of his seven offers, Campbell said that Kansas State and Illinois are looking at him exclusively for defense.
The other five teams - Penn State, Virginia, Maryland, Syracuse and James Madison - are still debating which side to put him on.
