LSU defenders remember Irons' big night

TigerBait.com Listening to the returning players on LSU's defense, they were stung a little bit by Kenny Irons' performance at Tiger Stadium last season.
LSU edged Auburn 20-17 in overtime, but Irons rolled up 218 yards on the ground. Irons had a 74-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that gave Auburn its first lead. Even without the long run, Irons averaged more than five yards a carry.
"We always pride ourselves on not giving up a big chunk of yards to a running back," LSU defensive end Ryan Willis said. "We missed assignments and over-pursued the ball against Irons. We had some missed tackles. You can't do that against a good back."
