More talent at Butler
When Michigan grabbed safety Jamar Adams out of Mathews (N.C.) Butler in the class of 2004, it was new territory for the Wolverines, mainly because David W. Butler High School had only fielded a football team for a few years. Now, Butler is producing top prospects left and right and have a tremendous crop coming up in the class of 2008.
According to head coach Mike Newsome, Butler likely has seven or eight prospects in their 2008 class who are Division 1 caliber athletes, with the highest concentration of talent in the defensive backfield. Prospects Spencer Adams, Robert Blanton and Eddie Whitley are all listed as safeties in the Rivals.com database and all have fielded Division 1 offers already.
