Syracuse snags Floridian

Rivals.com Football Recruiting The Syracuse Orange have dipped into the Jacksonville area for a second time to get a commitment. Potter's House Christian athlete Randy McKinnon notified the Syracuse coaching staff on Monday night that he is heading to the Big East to play college football.
"I called the coaches and committed," McKinnon said. "I just felt that when I went up there on my visit, that Syracuse had everything I was looking for in a school."
The 5-foot-9, 182-pounder will play strong safety for the Orange. He had an official visit scheduled for Wake Forest this coming weekend, but has cancelled it.
"No more visits for me," he said. "I am solid in my decision."
