Hopson hopes AAU helps erase tough season

CatsIllustrated.com One of the nation's top-rated juniors is eager to put this season behind him and get a fresh start.
Five-star Hopkinsville (Ky.) forward Scotty Hopson saw his University Heights squad lose four of its final five games down the stretch, including a 35-point loss to Christian County in the district tournament, to finish at 13-14.
"It was kind of a disappointing season for us," said Hopson, who is rated the No. 1 player in Kentucky and No. 10 prospect nationally for 2008 by Rivals.com. "We had a lot of new players this year, basically a whole new lineup, and things never really came together. We struggled quite a bit.
