South Carolina's Freeman Checks out Vols
The 'camp-season' is starting to get into full-swing for Tennessee and most other programs around the country this month. But the Vols got a head start in getting prospects to campus, welcoming in South Carolina offensive lineman Dalton Freeman for an unofficial visit last week.
Freeman (6-foot-6, 270 pounds, 5.0 40-yard dash) is one of the most highly-recruited prospects in what is a solid year in the state of South Carolina, and his visit to Knoxville last week hints that Tennessee could be a serious contender for his services.
With interest and offers from all over the SEC and beyond, Freeman's recruitment is shaping up to be a hotly contested matter, and getting him on campus during the offseason was a solid point for the Vols.
