The latest version of the Rutgers backfield will have a new look this season. Their Heisman trophy candidate will still be the feature back, but a talented sophomore figures to see a lot more action. There will be many opportunities to carry the ball now that Brian Leonard has moved on to the NFL and Kordell Young is likely to be the beneficiary.

"Hopefully, I'll see a lot of action," said Young. "I'm looking forward to just playing wherever they need me and in whatever package they throw me in."

Young's blazing speed also enables head coach Greg Schiano to experiment with the talented sophomore at different positions.

"I played split out wide last year. I might still do that this year."

Towards the latter part of last season, Young began to see more and more playing time. He made the most out of those minutes and talked about how they have helped him.
