Back in the fold

CLEMSON, S.C. -- After a much-needed week off, following a concussion he suffered against Miami on October 24, tight end Michael Palmer says he's ready to get back on the field this weekend, despite some early-week light duty. Palmer said Tuesday he's "doing a lot better" in recent days, after not being cleared to play last weekend in Clemson's 49-3 win over Coastal Carolina. He also contends this year's Clemson team has a different mentality than the one that let the division title slip away in 2006 and 2007.
