The 6-foot-5, 213-pounder, billed 30th nationally by Rivals.com among athletes, became the Tigers' 17th commit of the 2010 class this morning, announcing his declaration at an 8 a.m. news conference, at his school. Beasley becomes the seventh Georgia prospect to pledge to the Tigers. The Tigers' 2010 recruiting class is ranked 13th nationally in the latest Rivals.com team rankings. Beasley took two unofficial visits to Clemson over the summer, the first on June 13, and the second on July 31, a trip where he was accompanied by his parents, and Tiger verbal commit Desmond Brown. Beasley, who chose Clemson over Alabama and Auburn, had been favoring the Crimson Tide for much of the summer, but changed course in his thinking over the last week. He is the son of former Auburn letterman Victor Beasley Sr. His Clemson recruiter of record is offensive coordinator Billy Napier. Tigerillustrated.com will have much more from Beasley's news conference later this morning. Clemson 2010 Verbal Commits 1. Martavis Bryant (WR 6-4, 190) Anderson - T.L. Hanna 2.
