Clemson Tiger fan since 1976. I moved to Lexington, SC in 1974 from Long Island, New York. I was six years old at the time. Everyone I could remember in the neighborhood was a Gamecock fan. They were diehard Carolina fans and talked about their team every chance they had. I grew tired of listening to all the Carolina fans raving about the Gamecocks. One day when I was 8 I asked a neighbor who was the most rabid Carolina fan, "who is the most hated team by the Gamecocks?" He stated to me that it would be the Clemson Tigers. Every Gamecock fan despises the interstate rival Tigers he told me. That day I had my father drive me to the store to buy a Clemson Tiger sweat shirt and ball cap. I have been a fan ever since.
