Robinson's change of heart

A day after saying he was going to take some official visits and look around at other schools, Rivals 250 cornerback Darius Robinson has a change of a plans. The Westlake corner had a final visit in mind in the next two weeks, but he has made a change of plans.

Robinson decided after talking things over with his high school Monday to keep his commitment to Clemson and to end his recruitment with other schools including Georgia Tech.

"I talked to my coach about a lot of stuff today and we talked about commitment and keeping your word," Robinson said. "So I decided I am not going to take my official visit to Georgia Tech and I am solid to Clemson. I think I am done with the recruiting process."

The talented corner is ranked the 14th best in the country by Rivals.com and he received an offer from the Yellow Jackets on Saturday after waiting months for Georgia Tech to pull the trigger.

"I will say the offer came too late," Robinson said. "I really like Georgia Tech and I understand why they made the offer when they did, but at the end of the day I need to be loyal to Clemson."

After taking his official visit to Clemson on Jan. 8, Robinson became more serious about his commitment to the Tigers.
