Pisarcik details Oregon commitment

Maybe Jake Pisarcik and the Ducks were meant to be together. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive tackle from Medford (N.J.) Shawnee has been a fan of Oregon football for many years, and last month committed to Chip Kelly and company.

"This has been a dream come true for Jake," said Shawnee high school head coachTim Gushue. "Ever since he was a ninth grader I have heard him talk about Oregon. You talk about a storybook ending, well this is it. Of course you hope he is going to go out there and play and have a great career because this is just a great opportunity for Jake for both his education and for his college football career."

Jake Pisarcik himself had nothing but praise for his future program.

"The Ducks have a great tradition, an awesome winning program," said Pisarcik. "It is an honor to call myself an Oregon Duck and I am very excited. I just love watching them on TV: their tempo and how quick they are. When something goes wrong they try another thing. It is just so positive. They are just fun to watch."
