The South Carolina football staff picked up commitment number 11 in the 2014 class on Saturday with the pledge of Mobile (Ala.) Murphy defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth.
The 6-foot-2, 290-pounder committed to the Gamecock staff after a visit earlier today.
"I loved their environment and the coaches," Stallworth told GamecockCentral.com. "It felt like home. I've liked South Carolina since when they first offered me."
The facilities on campus impressed the Yellowhammer State product.
"The facilities I liked, especially the academic facilities," he said. "Everything about USC I love."
USC defensive line coach Deke Adams spent some time talking with Stallworth on campus today and the pair had a good conversation.
"He's laid back, a great coach," Stallworth said. "He said the chances of me starting are on me."
Gamecock linebackers coach Kirk Botkin handled the recruitment of Stallworth to USC.
"He's excited for me to be up there and wanted me up there."
According to the three-star prospect, the Gamecock staff discussed him playing some defensive end as well as defensive tackle. He also plays some end and linebacker for his high school team.
Stallworth is happy with his pledge to South Carolina and said it is a strong commitment but is also considering a full slate of official visits in the fall.
"I'm taking officials to Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State, Minnesota, and South Carolina," he said.
