Which backup cornerback should probably be getting more publicity heading into the summer?

This is probably one of those occasions where you can argue a starting cornerback should be getting more pub heading into the summer.

Marcus Edmond just sort of flies under the radar that way, and hence you feel compelled to present him as the biggest obscurity of this group even though he is listed as a starter heading into August camp.

A big part of this is there's quite a bit of intrigue about talented non-starters at cornerback. Plenty was written about Trayvon Mullen during spring practice, and justifiably so because the sophomore made some impressive strides. Plenty has been written about Mark Fields, and justifiably so because he stands to make a big leap this season assuming he's successfully resolved the turf toe that hindered him during the spring.

And, coming soon, we'll have A.J. Terrell and LeAnthony Williams to write about when those two talents arrive and start competing.

So a lot of it is just the natural appeal of supremely talented players who draw attention away from a fifth-year senior who did very little of note until last season.
