Clemson moves up to No. 2

CLEMSON -- Clemson (9-1, 7-1) maintained its seat at the College Football Playoff table Tuesday night when the playoff committee voted the Tigers No. 2. The Tigers were joined in the committee's top four by No. 1 Alabama, No. 3 Miami and No. 4 Oklahoma.

Clemson will host The Citadel this weekend before meeting rival South Carolina (7-3, 5-3) in a 7:30 p.m., ESPN-televised game next weekend (November 25).

The Tigers are set to face No. 3 Miami (9-0, 6-0) in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game in Charlotte (N.C.) on December 2. The two teams last met just two years ago when the Tigers blasted the Hurricanes 58-0 in Miami Gardens, Fla.
