Are expectations too high for Clemson this fall?

Might expectations be too high for Clemson following a national title?
I suspect so for some folks, especially for those who tend to wear orange-tinted glasses.
But I’m not convinced there’s a common bar out there at this point.
If anything, I’d argue expectations seem too extreme – on both sides of the ledger. And they’re feeding off each other.
There’s the crowd espousing Clemson has arrived as a national power, a member of the exclusive elite. Then there’s the side pushing the Tigers will collapse or crash following the departure of generational quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The truth, in my estimation, is in between.
