Kelly commits to Clemson

Clemson has picked up its 23rd verbal commitment in Marietta, Ga. wide receiver Aaron Kelly (6-5, 180, 4.4). Kelly also had offers from N.C. State, Wake Forest and Duke following a senior campaign where he caught 50 passes for over 950 yards and 17 touchdowns.
The Walton High athlete, who is coached by Ed Dudley, an uncle of current Clemson sophomore right guard Chip Myrick, becomes the Tigers’ third wide receiver commitment.
"He committed to Coach (Tommy) Bowden in a phone call this morning. He told him that's where he wanted to go," said a source at Walton who spoke with Monday afternoon.
Bowden's visit to Walton was postponed due to the inclement weather in the upstate. The Clemson head coach may travel to Marietta on Wednesday according to the source.
Kelly, who made an official visit to Duke last weekend, will take no other official visits.
Yesterday evening the two-star rated wideout called us from his cell phone where he told us that he and his family had decided on Clemson, stating that a formal decision would likely come today when corresponding with Bowden. may have more on this later today.
