Three years ago last month, Dabo Swinney received a phone call from a Clemson great.

Ring Of Honor quarterback Steve Fuller phoned Swinney after the Hilton Head (S.C.) High School team for which he was an assistant coach had been obliterated in the first round of the playoffs.

Hilton Head's opponent had a freshman player Fuller told Swinney that Clemson's staff needed to get on immediately.

That player is now one of the nation's top 50 recruits.
