According to a report released this morning by Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Camden NJ defensive tackle Shukree Barfield (6-4, 290, 4.9) has made a verbal commitment to Clemson.
Barfield said that he chose Clemson over Penn State, Tennessee and Tulane.
"I thought they have really treated me well while recruiting me," Barfield said. "I think I'm going to a good football program, and I'll get a good education."
The South Jersey standout was also a member of the basketball team and a two-way standout on the gridiron, doubling as both a defensive lineman and an offensive lineman.
