There is no shortage of axioms we could apply to Clemson's recruiting strategy.

Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley four-star defensive end Bryce Davis became the latest commitment to Clemson's recruiting class this past weekend, and the addition of such talent and upside stands on its own merits.

Yet Davis also stands out as the punctuation mark to the strategy that theoretically has figured to serve the Tigers best in the new recruiting market.
