Spring practice began on Feb. 28, five-plus weeks ago.

It feels like it's gone by in a flash. A lawsuit against the Atlantic Coast Conference and a basketball run to the Elite Eight have a lot to do with that.

After tomorrow's spring game, we'll all have almost five months to think about a 2024 season that opens with mighty Georgia in Atlanta.

But football will be played Saturday at Death Valley, and the coaches are doing the best they can to make it a legitimate competition featuring legitimate pressure.
