When Clemson puts on fireworks, it steals the show.
Oak Ridge (Tenn.) four-star receiver Tee Higginsannounced his commitment Monday to the Tigers, spurning nearby in-state favorite Tennessee among other suitors.
Higgins (6-4, 190), ranked No. 40 nationally by Rivals.com but in the conversation for five-star status, represents the potential icing on the cake for Clemson’s push into the Volunteer State this cycle.

Clemson owns commitments from two other 2017 four-stars from the state – Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic receiver Amari Rodgers and Memphis (Tenn.) Trezevant running back Cordarrian Richardson – as well as newly acquired 2018 linebacker Mike Jones Jr.
In November, the Tigers also flipped Brownsburg (Ind.) five-star quarterback Hunter Johnson from the Vols.
Higgins committed to Tennessee last August but withdrew his pledge shortly after attending Clemson’s elite junior day in late January.
He becomes the 11th member to the Tigers’ commitment class and second-highest ranked recruit behind Johnson.
