In the Florida State game program, there was a full-page photo of Mike Williams soaring above an Alabama defensive back while putting himself in position to make one of those amazing catches he made so many times last year in big moments on the way to the national title.

Even against Alabama's wrecking crew of a defense, he looked like a man among boys. That type of presence is not easy to duplicate even for the most talented receivers.

But no one is asking Cain to be Mike Williams. He'd be pretty special if he were just the best version of Deon Cain he could be, but it's pretty clear he's not reaching that threshold either.
