Clemson has been locked into its priority inside linebacker target for the duration of the calendar year.

Paramus (N.J.) Catholic four-star linebacker Drew Singleton returns to campus for the third time this year as a headlining visitor for the Tigers’ “All-In Cookout” Friday night.

“I feel like the two visits were thorough, so I’ve really seen everything,” Singleton said. “So there’s not anything I haven’t really seen. But each visit still has been an eye-opener. It’s always been a great time. I still get goose bumps when I walk into the stadium.”

Singleton (6-2, 215), ranked No. 39 nationally by Rivals.com, holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee and others.

He visited Clemson with his father and uncle for an extended weekend in late January in conjunction with the program’s elite junior day.

Singleton then returned with his mother and father for a long weekend to see Clemson’s spring game in April.
