This week former Clemson great Nelson Welch joined longtime Tigerillustrated.com senior writer Larry Williams on The Clemson Dubcast to update everyone on his progress since his heart attack in the summer of 2018.

Said Welch: "It felt like someone was hitting me in the heart with a baseball bat."

He gobbled a bunch of aspirin and called 911.

Welch also reminisced about the wild, strange era of Clemson football from 1990 to 1994 when the Tigers transitioned from Danny Ford to Ken Hatfield to Tommy West.
