The Clemson vs. Alabama narrative dominated the offseason, in some ways justifiably and in other ways not.

Justifiably because these two had established themselves as the two great powers in college football. Unjustifiable because the media who couldn't stop talking about Alabama being worn down by a brutal schedule had to be on some strong drugs (or maybe the SEC kool aid is a drug).
