CLEMSON -- Brent Venables was back in town last week, taking advantage of Oklahoma's spring break to return to the place that will always remain dear to him.

He got in a midday workout late in the week and managed to snap a few pictures of Death Valley, the place that was home to so many defensive masterpieces under his watch.

On a basketball court in Memphis, two stifling defensive showings by Brad Brownell's team had to make Venables smile.
