When Clemson staffers have been asked how recruiting will change with a national championship in hand, their public answer has caught many by surprise.

It probably won’t, they say. The Tigers have already been recruiting at a premium level and getting a high percentage of the targets they’ve honed in on.

Saturday’s visitor list for the program’s annual January junior day compels us to disagree to a degree.

As we framed it earlier this week, Clemson will have the nation’s No. 1-ranked 2018 prospect at FOUR different positions on campus Saturday as it unveils its new playground, er, football operations facility.

TigerIllustrated.com now expects at least 16 prospects in the Rivals250 – rated four-stars or higher – to be on hand for the event.

That’s an elite field.
