It wasn't Dabo Swinney and Clemson's culture alone that drew DJ Uiagalelei across the entire country to play football when there were plenty of eligible suitors much closer to home.

So in the personal and mostly private sphere, Uiagalelei's time at Clemson was a success.

Having said that, we can't recall a player with wilder swings between greatness and poor play. While that rollercoaster doesn't define him, and while we wish him nothing but the best wherever he ends up, we believe the Clemson part of his story is still largely confounding.
